Jehovah Jireh, meaning the Lord is our provider. This has been a huge part of this month and we have seen the fruit of this saying throughout our time here. Jireh Children’s home was named after this saying and the Lord has provided for them over and over. One time they were so short on money, that they could not provide food for the children, so they prayed and a friend that they had not spoken to in 2 years stopped by to see them. He had just recently left Hinduism and became a Christian, after speaking with them and catching up he left, but before he left he handed them 500 rupees. This was enough to feed the children, they took that money to the store and bought some rice. The Lord provided, they have stories after stories of this happening. They do not have monthly supporters, but miraculously and by God’s grace they have been able to stay a float for the past 9 years. You can see the fruit of this ministry in the video below!

11 Things I learned in India:

1. Your feet will never be clean

2. When you are blonde and white, selfies after selfies after selfies will be taken

3. Rice, on Rice, on Rice….and sometimes two different kinds for one meal

4. Cows are everywhere and eat garbage

5. The smell is unexplainable and can change, on a 2 min walk you can get about 10 different terrible smells

6. The children taught me courage, even when you live far from your family and haven’t seen them in years you can be strong

7. God Provides and we don’t need to worry (great reminder when fundraising is always on your mind)

9. India gives a whole new meaning to Spicyu

10. Use bug spray always and maybe even carry a mosquito net around

11. Chai is life

Enjoy this little piece of India! I would not be here without all of you, thank you for making this possible!

Love,

Quinn
