Hey everyone!
I know it’s been a while since I posted a blog, this blog was supposed to be posted last week but due to technical wifi difficulties, I’m posting it this week! I just thought it’s been a while since I’ve posted an update on what ministry looks like and pictures from ministry so here you go!
The pictures above are from a day of ministry where we got the chance to “be Santa” to some of the local kids and families in a nearby town, Itzapa. This meant, that our ministry hosts brought gifts they had bought for a lot of the kids and after playing games and singing songs with the kids, we got the chance to give each child a gift of their choosing. It was so so so fun!
These next pictures are from a day we got to spend in another town doing some manual labor starting the process of building a house for a family! This included lots of shoveling sand and rocks into wheelbarrows to move from one place to another, bending iron wires, and forming a fun assembly line to pass bricks from a truck to the house. The picture on the right is our little friend, Juan Diego, who may be only 7 year old, but still chose to do most of the heavy lifting, even when we offered to do it. He was definitely the MVP of the day:)
This day, my team got invited to one of our Guatemalan base staff, Junior’s, church to paint a couple rooms where him and his family will be staying for a while. With some good old throwbacks of Taylor Swift and One Direction playing, my team and I got to paint the morning away, balancing on chairs and doing our best to avoid the spiders hanging out on the ceilings. Though we didn’t finish that day, it was still an amazing opportunity to serve and love in such a simple way of painting.
And lastly, here are some of the BEAUTIFUL sunsets I get to see on pretty much a daily basis down here in Guatemala. Like, come on, God! Look at those! I feel like they pretty much explain themselves.
Well, thank you all for reading, again, and I apologize for such a late post. I miss you all, thank you so much for joining me on this journey!
Love, Quincy
