Hey everyone! So big updates coming your way in this blog. For one, I’M IN TEXAS! At the beginning of this past week, my squad and I was able to start our ministry in DeQuincy, LA working with Samaritan’s Purse for hurricane disaster relief from Hurricane Laura that passed through a couple months ago. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday was full of awesome ministry that included tarping rooftops, cleaning up debris, yard work, chopping down trees, etc. However, with another hurricane on it’s way, my squad found out Tuesday night that we would be leaving Louisiana Thursday morning to evacuate and stay safe from the incoming storm. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We had only been given the chance to do ministry for 3 days and then it was going to be cut short. Turns out, God had a different plan, a much better plan instead.
Wednesday night we were told that we would still be leaving DeQuincy, Louisiana to evacuate from the storm. But instead of going back to Georgia, we came to Dallas, Texas to stay with a family who’s been involved with Adventures in Missions for a while and decided to host my whole squad for a couple nights!!! So now, our plan is to stay here in Dallas until Sunday when we can hopefully drive back to DeQuincy, LA where we get to stay for basically another week and drive back to GA on Saturday.
The few days of ministry we had makes me so excited for another week of ministry because GOD IS MOVING! I can’t wait to tell you guys all about it! But I just wanted to keep you guys updated about what I’m doing and why I’m in Texas!
Love you guys!
