Hey guys!
My name is Quincy Ingersoll and I’ve lived in Ankeny, Iowa my entire life! I live with my amazing family: my lovely mom and dad and three younger brothers. We have three pets total, two cats and one dog. I am currently a senior at Ankeny Centennial High School, while also taking some college credit classes offered at the high school by the local community college.
Outside of school, my weeks usually consist of two things: my church and dance classes. I would say I am very involved in my church, the Ridge, and spend most Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings volunteering. On Sunday mornings, I am partnered up with a little boy with who is the cutest and most adorable little dude I’ve ever met! I love spending my Sunday mornings with him in the Children’s Ministry. On Wednesdays, I also volunteer by leading a group of 6th-8th graders in youth group, while participating in my own high school youth group later that night. As far as dance goes, I have been dancing at a local dance studio, Nicole’s School of Dance, since I was 3 years old and I’ve loved it more and more every year! I usually take classes Sunday-Thursdays in the evenings, with the occasional Saturday. Since I am also on the Competition Team, I compete in dance competitions in the Spring season which I love! The studio dancers and families have become my second family and I wouldn’t want it any other way:) As for a job, I work as a teacher at my dance studio, teaching and assisting in classes with younger dancers. I love this because I get to share my love for dance with people younger than me by helping them improve their skills in the art and craft I have such a passion for.
When it comes to mission trips, I’ve only ever been on two! A couple summers ago, I traveled with a small group of people from my youth group to California to spend a week spreading God’s love and serving others through a local church’s VBS. However, my first time out of the country was this past summer on my second mission trip ever to Uganda where I spent 10 days serving and spreading God’s love. I loved every second of both of these mission trips and I couldn’t be more excited to see what God does for me and others during the next chapter of my life after graduating high school in the spring: the World Race Gap Year!
Thank you so much for reading about me and don’t hesitate to reach out and contact me with any questions or comments! My phone number is (515) 681-4145 and my email is [email protected].
Love you guys!
