Question of the day: How do you pack a 2-person tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, 7 shirts, 3 skirts, 3 pants, 2 sandals, underwear, personal hygiene items, first aid/ medication, eating utensils, 3 books, journal, Bible, and writing utensils into a small frame backpackers pack?  I made it! 🙂

A couple days ago, I did a trial run with my tent and sleeping bag in our living room.  Tonight I’m sleeping in it for real in Dublin, Ireland.  After a missed connection, re-routing and coincidentally running into my teammate, Brenda, who was also re-routed, we made it to JFK to meet up with our fellow World Racers.

Following a 7 hour flight, we arrived early this morning in Dublin and spent the day struggling to stay awake, sightseeing around Dublin – Book of Kells (oldest colored Latin manuscript of the four gospels with celtic symbols and pictures), Dublin Castle where the crowns jewels of Ireland were stolen, Christ Church Cathedral, St. Stephen’s Green, and even tasted Irish stew (lambs meat, potatoes, carrots, leeks).  Sorry, too tired to write anymore.  Goodnight!
