Dear Pallavi,
I saw it in your sweet smile. I saw what you have been through. Though I cannot relate to it, I know the pain you experienced. I saw that it was hard, and you did not know how to handle it. You are only 9 years old and have experienced more hurt and pain than almost any of us in America. But sweet Pallavi, you are the reason I left home. You are the reason I journey across this world. So that you will understand that you are not in this life alone. So that you will feel the love that the Father has for you.
Your heart of gold shines bright across India. The love that you possess for others is just so beautiful. It was all shown through your smile. The innocent grin of a young girl who is searching for hope and love. The ones you are surrounded by love you dearly, and they support you tremendously, but always remember that the God that created you loves you immeasurably more!
As I sat infront of you while listening to the story of how the children’s home started. Through the powerful testimony of how it all started, I believe you noticed the tears welling up in my eyes. You looked at me with such compassion assuring me that it was okay, that you all know that God has a purpose for it all. All through a smile.
So Pallavi, moving forward, understand you are loved. Understand that God has plans of good for you. Seek out the path that He has written for you already. Walk boldy in who you are IN Him, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made. When life’s trials come and you face those struggles, look to the Father always.
Your story is written in your smile, and it’s beautiful. So are you.
Sincerely,
Preston
