Let me share with you in a brief exhortation of how powerful our God is, and how His guidance is so divine.
I love to think. I enjoy sitting and thinking about where I am in life. I enjoy thinking about what is to come. I enjoy thinking about how God brought me through all of my trials, only to have me here. But thinking can be dangerous at times when you do not keep your thoughts captive. I took it too far today. I got myself in a fog thinking about the future. I got to the point where I just felt confused and my head hurt.
Tonight we had a session and the whole time I sat wondering how the HECK I was suppose to get out of this weird fog of unknowing. How I was suppose to deal with being anxious. After our session, I went to lay down on the couches on the roof and just listened to Hillsong Worship, continuing to wonder.
I want you all to know that God is so good!
Next think I knew, a Jamaican guy was grabbing my hand, and my whole squad had disappeared. He looks me dead in the eye and said, “God has your back.” I just sat there first of all trying to figure out who this dude was. But he then said in a very firm voice, “SIT UP!” So I followed as he instructed. He place his hands firmly on my head and bowed his and in a triumphant voice he spoke, “OH GOD, GRANT THIS MAN CLARITY, CLEARANCE.” He went on praying for me to trust God’s plan, and to seek God in everything. After he finished, I stood up and embraced a man that I did not know; not even his name. He began to speak to me boldly saying, “God will give you clarity through the fog!”
I finally figured out that this wonderful man’s name was Kirk. He explained that the Holy Spirit told him to come speak that over me. Isn’t our God so wonderful!? Even when I dig myself into confusion and sit aimlessly, God will send His people to come and help you back up, dust you off, and direct you back to the path of righteousness.
I simply just wanted to brag on God. That is all!
Humbled,
Preston
