Me- “God, we are here to spread your name to anyon-“
God- “There will be a man sitting behind you at a table all by himself. I want you to speak to him.”
Today was amazing. It started with a wonderful Bible study with my team, followed by an amazing time of worship, and then later on carried an outstanding journey of ministry in a mall food court. Yes, a mall food court.
Our team split into two groups to go our and see what God had for us in this mall. I paired up with Kaydan and Katherine. After drinking an amazing strawberry milkshake, I prayed and asked God who He would have me speak to. He quickly interupted me with the answer. There was this man sitting behind me in a blue button up shirt. I felt this burning passion to go and speak to him. I knew God wanted me to.
I approached this guy and just asked if I could sit down with him; he agreed by bobbling his head side to side (welcome to India). (As a courtesy to his, my hosts, and my teams safety, I will simply keep referring to him as, “the man, him, he, etc.) I began the conversation by simply asking him if he spoke English. Then the conversation went on to where he lived. He said he lived in Hyderabad, which is pretty far away from where we are (important information). I explained that we are from the states and I simply just wanted to talk to him and get to know him. Later on, the subject changed to prayer, and Jesus. My friend was honest enough to share that he prays, but he does not really know to whom. He believes there is A God, just not sure which one is right. Whether that be the Christian God, a Hindi god, or whatever it may be. The point is, is that he is just hoping for the best with his prayers.
After sharing the truth of the gospel with him, we were able to pray over him. We made it a point to explain to him that the fact that he traveled pretty far to be in the town we were in from his hometown, and the fact that there were two guys from America talking to him was NO accident, but a divine appointment. He was so receptive to what we had to say, and the stories we shared. There is no doubt in my mind that God has big plans for this man. And I proclaim that in the next coming days, that God will rest his power among his heart so intense, that he has nothing else to do but to fall flat on his face in WORSHIP!
Now, we intentionally went to the mall to seek out opportunities. But think about the opportunities we have in our everyday lives. The person infront of you at the coffee shop, the coworker that is new to the office, the random guy sitting at the food court in the mall alone. How many times do we look at someone and feel God telling us to speak to them, but we pass it up?
WE HOLD THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM! We have the authority to bring KINGDOM to EARTH! The love that God so freely gave us is NOT for us to harbour! It is for us to spread across the world! It is not about the amount of people we can reach, but reaching the person that is right infront of you. They are hungry, they want HOPE! You hold the key to freedom, so what are you going to do with it?
