Have you seen or experienced spiritual warfare?
There is a realm unseen by most, but it is very real indeed. I had never seen or experienced anything like it until last month, while in the country of Georgia. There is a constant battle raging all around us wherever we go. Angels and demons – Light and darkness – duking it out for power and control.
Here is a story of an instance that happened while we were in Georgia:

As they drove into town he was filled with anticipation. It was early in the night and the lights were flashing from the Ferris wheel and from all the bars as they drove through the city to their air bnb. Excitement was in the air, however he knew something felt different. He shook it off and figured it was nothing. Two days went by and they were all settled in, but something still just was not quite right.
Several days passed and the feeling he felt would not go away.
It was a cold and rainy day, just like almost every other day. The team hiked through town and walked into the old building and up the stairs being greeted by their new friends they had met about a week prior. After a short time of small talk they transitioned into a time of worship.
The first two songs were all old classics that he had grown up singing. Midway through the second song as he was singing, his vocal chords tightened up and nothing was coming out. The room darkened. He took a quick peek around the room and everything seemed to look normal, but he felt extremely uneasy. As he closed his eyes to pray his eyes were opened to something he had never seen before. A storm of spiritual warfare was raging all around him. There was a massive tornado of black darkness swirling around him. He tried to keep praying, but couldn’t even think straight to do that. He was trapped. He felt alone, lost, and cold. Looking up the only thing he could see was the darkness-continuing swirl faster and stronger around him.
Opening his eyes again and scanning the room, everything was normal. Everyone around him was singing and worshipping. The only thing he knew to do was close his eyes and attempt to pray again.
Same thing happened again. Darkness. No words could be spoken or prayed. At this point he was terrified, could not move, and was trapped again. His stomach was in a knot and his head was throbbing. The only thing he could hear was the tornado whistling and roaring around him. The sound was horrifying and made his eardrums feel as though they were about to bleed.
He was frozen and could not move a muscle for what seemed like hours. Finally, he was able to open his eyes and saw the leader praying to close out the night in prayer. The nightmare experience finally ceased. He still felt a huge weight of darkness over and all around him as they walked home that night. The only thing that kept him going was knowing that though the battle rages on all around him, the victory has already been won by his Savior, Jesus Christ!
John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Who do you want on your side? I know who I want and have on mine, His name is Jesus. There is no need to live in fear because I am filled with peace knowing that He is beside me everywhere I go, even in these dark places. He is fighting my battles and the victory belongs to Him because of what He did for you and I on the cross. Gods love is so vast we cannot even truly grasp or fathom it.
On the race we are searching for anyone and everyone that is ruled by darkness, so that we can share with them the precious gift of light and love that God has given us FREELY! He cares so much about you and desires so badly to have a personal relationship with YOU. Entering into a relationship with Him is the best decision I have and will ever make. My life is different now and I want everyone to experience the love, forgiveness, and peace that I have forever.
If you are ruled by darkness and want to experience that love, ask God right now to open the eyes of your heart to see Him.
Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
2 Kings 6:16-17
He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
John 10:9-10
I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If you are living and walking in the light, look for those around you who are in the dark and don’t shy away from the best thing you have to offer anyone – the gospel!
There is a raging war and I would love and appreciate your prayers especially as we travel into many spiritually dark places and that Jesus’ light would shine brightly through each one of us.
Thank you all for your love and support!
