I would like to start by saying a huge thank you. The fact that you have even clicked on this link and have given me some of your time is more than I can ask for. I’ve tried to write this first blog post multiple times, but could never find the right words. Today, March 21st, I believe God has inspired me. I think He wants me to share my story of how The World Race even made its way into my life.

My Student Council Sponsor, Mrs.Jackson, had mentioned that her daughter Erin went on the race, a few years ago. I was intrigued just by the name ‘World Race’ because I have always loved to travel and I am always looking for new and adventurous things to do. I went home that day knowing I had the weekend ahead of me in order to research what the race was all about. I watched one promotional video and that was it. I had been snared. There was one visual that struck me to my core, and that was a girl on her knees, washing another woman’s feet. I was so in awe of how humble the girl looked and by how the kind act had filled the older woman’s face with so much joy. This was the first time, this year, that I had seen myself somewhere. I could see myself on the race. I showed my parents the video and assumed they would tell me that I could go after college, but instead they encouraged me to go this coming year; before college. I was shocked and I asked them,

“Shouldn’t I wait until after college?” They both looked at me and smiled and I received an answer that I should have been expecting.

They replied, “Does the Kingdom of God ever wait?”

I then did what had to be done, I prayed. I asked God to just tell me to “GO”. I went on a youth retreat with my church the next weekend and I prayed that God would tell me what He wanted me to do. I prayed that He would send someone to tell me to quite literally, “GO”. On the last night, one of my closest friends, Jayden, approached me and said something that has changed my life forever. She approached me, took me by the neck, began to pray over me, and said,

“Whatever God is telling you to do, you need to GO and do it.”

That was it, I was sold. I knew what I was called to do. And now, you do as well. You are now caught up with what has been happening in my life for the past 2 months. There has been so much taking place and it has all happened so fast. I’m so thankful for you and thankful for the time that you have granted me with. I now have to raise $15,800 in order to go, but in the strangest sense, I’m not scared. I believe that if I am called, then God will provide. If you would like to keep up with me, my journey, what God is doing in my life, or donate, you can do that all right here. You can read my blog, follow me on all of my social media outlets, or if you feel led, you can donate. Again, thank you so much for giving something so valuable, your time. I would now like to leave you with this, whatever God is telling you to do, I ask you to GO and do it.

Blessings, Presley.
