So, a week or so ago, while living in community with Team
Pro’digal(we called our community Team ProMo!) Julian, Robby Smith, and I
started something really random. Just making a joke out of this we started to
throw out random verses we were gonna remember. Among some pretty random ones
that don’t make any sense when taken out of context.

Luke 17:32 “Remember Lot’s wife”

This one was pretty funny. I found it and yelled it out in a
loud, demanding voice, “Remember Lot’s wife,” with as much intensity as I could
find in my body. Completely joking we cracked up about how random it was.

I’ve been randomly quoting it since that day now and it’s
not too “funny” now. It’s a dead-serious, freedom bringing verse.

“Remember Lot’s wife”

Can you remember Lot’s wife? Lot and his family were being
spared from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot’s wife took a look
behind her at her past and she was turned into a pillar of salt. That’s how
serious this stuff is, we are dead in our sin! BUT God has given us the life we
were supposed to be born into. Don’t look back! Don’t look to death, look to
life! Your past is death! Your past is not who you are. Your past is not your
identity! You are who your Father says you are.

I really wanna take the time and just tell whoever is
reading
