Ok, so I think I’m gonna start posting blogs that I should have written way back when I was on the field, and I’m gonna add em to this “The Blogs I Forgot To Post” category.
Here’s a sweet one I COMPLETELY forgot about.
In Targu Mures, Romania, I spent the month in a beautiful wooden house. Everything was wood: the bed posts, carved wood; the lamps, carved wood; the handrail, carved wood. You get the idea.
This house was shared between two teams. Our team had six people and Sara Hansen’s team had seven people so that brings the total up THIRTEEN people! What was really cool though, we had these crazy, huge family dinners, pretty much EVERY night. It really was a super, cool time of just bein a family. I feel like family meals really set the tone in the World Race.
Anyway, with thirteen people eating at the same time, you have a lot of dishes at the same time. This was basically our routine: one team cooks and the other team cleans. Welp, tonight was Julian and I’s time to clean the dishes. You gotta get creative and enjoy this because that’s a whole lot of dishes!
