To get Jesus. To be like Jesus! To taste His goodness! To know Him.
To truly know God and to make Him known around the world! Oh, we need Him so much.
I am sinful, broken, rebellious, filthy, lying, cheating, stealing, raggedy, idolatrous, a blasphemer who fails time and time again to walk uprightly. Even my good deeds are as filthy as bloody rags!
But God has seen me. God has seen me.
He looks at me and He does not pass by me. He does not leave me alone in my mess. He comes down into my mess, becomes flesh and is a walking Messiah! Hallelujah!! Praise His Holy Name!
God says to me while I wallow in my filth, “Live! Live!” He cleans me and makes me like new. He puts the best robes on me and I often still take pride in the clothes. I still fail to see Him too often!
He anointed me and lavished on me, making me beautiful. But I again am unfaithful to Him- forever my first love- I fell in love with my beauty and worshiped the things He made rather than the intimate Creator God who breathed life first.

But God. The two most beautiful sentences in all the Word. BUT GOD!
Ephesians 2 says, "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN OUR TRESPASSES, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved – and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
Hallelujah to this God!! This God is the One God who lives, who loves, who exists- for real! This God saves! This God restores! This God makes me new! He makes ALL things new!
Praise be to the Name of the LORD, YHWH! The ONE whose Name is the unpeakable four-letters, the three-times holy God.
For You do not deal with me as my sins deserve, in fact- YHWH-tsidqenu- Your Name states Your perfect character and way. The LORD is my righteousness!
LORD GOD, You are my righteousness. You are my goodness, my purity, my joy. The truest form of myself is Christ! Everything I am ought to be Jesus.
Praise is befitting to the One who died for me. All glory, all honor, all praise to God Most High. He is worthy only. Only You are worthy, Only You are holy. God, only You deserve and get all the praise and worth!
If He is the Fount of Living Water, why am I not flat on my face, crying out for Him to bless me with another drip of His grace?
I crave a taste of Your mercy. I desire a whiff of Your love. I hold out my hand. Please fill me up, but leave me wanting so much more. May I never come to a place where I am full or done with You or push You away. Ever. Every day is praise. Every day is joy. Every day is for You. You are my joy, my joy, my joy!
By Yourself You are three times holy — holy holy holy. By Yourself You are completely worthy, more than worthy are You GOD. Words fail at praising You yet I give You my whole mouth to bless You. Words fail at worshiping You, yet I give You every breath to set praise before You. Take me, I am Yours, All YOURS.
