This is an update for everyone who is following me and
supporting me. I want to give you an update of where I am financially with my
support raising. It has been rough, it has been emotional, it has been happy,
it has been sad, there are many emotions I have come to discover that come with
support raising. But one thing I do know is that this is a part of the journey, and my growth in trusting God.
Up to this date I have raised a little over $1,000. I would
like to say that this is a great place to be but I would be mistaken. The World
Race gives us support goals for each month, and as of right now I am $2000
behind. I am not losing faith, or discouraged that I won’t meet my final goal,
but I am a little scared about having $4,000 dollars in my account by October 6.
I have honestly spent every single day since Friday, June 18, 2010 working
diligently trying to raise my money for my trip. It is not as easy as I thought
it would be, but I understand that God wants to make sure that he is in control
and not me. It is all in Gods timing that I will raise my final goal of $14,300.
I know I will do it! I have an abundance of faith in God.
Before I signed up to go on the race I prayed and asked God
to direct me, and God spoke to my heart and told me that if I signed up (if I
took the first step) that he would take care of the rest. I am holding on to this
promise, and putting works behind my faith. So far I have Stood out by the
highway holding a sign for help, I have sold fruit smoothies, sold McDonalds
cards, had a car wash, sold baked goods, I have sold food, I am selling my car, I have talked to
my pastor and hopefully will be speaking to my church soon, and much more to
come. All of these events have brought in $100 here and $100 there and I am thankful for that, but I want
to see an outpouring of God’s grace and an outpouring of his Holy Spirit in my
support raising; and I believe I will happen. God is planning
everything for me and I am walking in faith to see it come to pass.
One thing you should know is that the only way I will be
able to go on this life-shaping, life-changing trip is by the grace of God, and
YOU! It is the people who love me, who donate, and pray for me that will be
sending me off on my journey. I feel it is important for you to know this
because without your support I would be staying here and frying chicken wings
instead of following Gods calling on my life. You are a HUGE part of my
ministry, and you are a blessing to my life.
I want to say thank you for your support, love, and prayer.
I am asking you now…will you help me meet my goal of $4000 by October 6? If I
don’t have this amount by then I will be unable to attend Training Camp. I have
faith that God will work through you and allow me to be a part of His calling
on my life.
