Brian Head Welch

Former lead guitarist for the band:

This Saturday Brian Head Welch is coming to Ashland, Kentucky which is about ten minutes away from where I live. If you  have not heard his testimony this video will explain it all. It is absolutely amazing how God has turned his life around!!!!!
There are millions of people in the world who are crying out for Jesus! Let us never look at someone and write them off from salvation. Outward appearance meant nothing to God, it didn’t matter if you were the richest of the rich or the poorest of the poor, the cleanest of the clean or the dirtiest of the dirty; God showed love and compassion towards everyone.
Drugs are so addicting!!! I know from personal experience. Marijuana was my main drug, I smoked it because it made me feel like nothing in the world could touch me. I felt like nothing mattered. I turned away from God, I left the church, I wouldn’t speak to my family; I was driven away from everything that was important in my life. If it wasn’t for a God-fearing family who loved me no matter how strung out I was, or how horrible I was to them I would still be living in my past. I have overcome my past, my enemies have failed because if anything they drew me closer to God. God is more alive in my life now than he ever has been before. But what about all of the people who don’t have a family to pull them out of a lifestyle of addiction?
We have to be the ones to make a change! People are dieing everyday because someone didn’t take the time to care enough. We have to use our only weapon from God, it’s a mighty weapon, one that can cut the devils head off clean. I am talking about the sword of God, the Holy Bible. When we read the word of God we gain knowledge and God speaks to us, he reveals the secrets of his heart.
My main point for writing this is that Drugs are a real issue today. They are addicting, and they tear peoples lives apart. Please, PLEASE share the love of God with someone you know is in need. Even if they have failed you time and time again. God would never give up on them! If we know the need and do nothing then we are held accountable in heaven. Lets bring love, and peace into the lives of those who don’t know who God is.
Pray that the concert this weekend would save many lives, that addictions would be broken, that lives would be forever changed in Jesus name.
God bless,
Philip
