The past few months have been very interesting. The last time I wrote a blog it was right before my team and I hiked into the Himalayas to go tell a village about Jesus. There was a lot of apprehension and so I was very nervous. Well in many ways I feel like after 3 months my team is still on the side of that mountain struggling to survive.
Starting back in Nepal on the hike life became very difficult for my team. The hike was completely exhausting, the ministry was seemingly worthless, and the way back was lifeless. Coming home from that trip many people were ready to get out of Nepal for good.
Contrary to what people hoped, once we got out of Nepal not much got better. After leaving we went to Romania where we spent the month with the majority of our squad. With 35 people packed into a single house, to say it was simple is by far opposite of the truth. It was a difficult living situation and many people were struggling. This also took a toll on my team and contrary to my hopes we suffered as a group.
Leaving Romania and coming into Moldova much has been taking place. We are in a much healthier environment now. We have free time to spend with the Lord.
Overall, God has provided us with an opportunity to renew our bond as a team again. He has given us this chance to come together and dig deeper into loving and developing each other more than ever before.
I believe this month God can and will do great things on our team as we reach out to the community through teaching English and telling the Moldovans about Jesus. He will not only use us to impact this world for his name but also he will change our lives as well.
