Dear Heavenly Father,
Please bless the people that read my blogs and support me on the missions trip you have placed in my heart called The World Race. Thank you so much for placing them in life to be there for me and support me on this incredible journey you are sending me out on. May you bring them peace and grace and shower them with your blessings for blessing me.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
Well hello again! Yes I know it’s been almost a month since I’ve written on here, but today I want to take an opportunity to reflect on the past month to show you how God continues to ROCK my world by placing AWESOME people in my life and reminding me that FAITH is THE only way to go.
It’s really not easy for some of us to rely on faith at all times. I am a good example of one of those people. Well, I *use* to be one of the people. If something went wrong I would normally just brush it off and say it was just bad luck or I just suck at life. I’d be left there hopelessly wondering when the heck all this would stop and still continue on a downward spiral into a negative place. It’s not until I accepted Jesus into my heart and turned my life over to the Lord that I knew that there would ALWAYS be a light at the end of the tunnel.
When I first started this whole World Race journey I was terrified about how I was going to manage things while I’m gone. I had a car payment, lots of possessions I might have to sell to get rid of, quitting my AWESOME jobs, and leaving my family behind. I was advised by Rachel and Jenny that everything will just fall in to place. The Lord has called upon you and He will take care of your fears. Just lay them out and He will take care of it. Well guess what…..
Car-Taken care of by my lovely Mother. She is going to sell her car and take care of mine while I’m gone. Thank you Mom! And Thank you Lord!
Possesions-Taken care of by my lovely Mother. I can keep all of my stuff at her place. Thank you Mom! And Thank you Lord!
Jobs- Both jobs have said I can return once I get back! Thank you Lord!
Family- They are all going to get Skype so we can keep in touch! Thank you Lord!
I couldn’t have been able to do any of this without the wonderful people in my life. Everyone has stepped up and shown support for me in this incredible journey. Even people that I wouldn’t expect have given me support either by saying they wish me well or they tell me I’m doing a great thing. I randomly met a friend (Cory Nowak) from High School around town one day and he had heard about my World Race via Facebook. He is a Marine and just returned from the giant sandbox. He gave me kudos for stepping up and leaving the comforts of American and doing such a great service. He said his time overseas was very humbling and he says I will experience the same. Now granted we are doing two completely different types of services, but either way it will be great to see and experience different cultures. Plus I get to share the Gospel with others as well….its a Win-Win situation! I saw him at a wedding this past weekend and he was nice enough to even give me a “lucky charm!” It was a pocket knife with all sorts of little cool gadgets on it. He said it brought him good luck as he traveled to different countries so he wanted me to have it on my journey. I told him I couldn’t wait to take it with me and share the stories with him when I come back.
God places great people in our lives for a reason. Random acts of kindness like what Cory displayed are proof that God does good by putting wonderful people in our lives.
As for preparation for the race I’ve almost got everything wrapped up. I ventured out to Cabela’s to purchase my tent and backpack. I was lucky enough try it out 4th of July weekend at Breezy Point. Everything worked out well!

I have also started my travel vaccinations. OUCH! I went in for my first round of shots on the 1st of July. Hep. A & B, and Tetanus shot was the first round. Last Thursday I got Rabies, Yellow Fever, and Polio. Next week I get Japanese Encephalitis, Rabies, and I forgot the last one so there are sooo many! Oh well, better safe than sorry, right?
Also I am still seeking financial support for this mission trip. I had a GREAT turnout from the fundraiser event, but I still have a looong ways to go. I need to have at least $8,500 in my support account by Oct.1 in order to leave and then the rest will follow at later. If you feel that God has placed it in your heart to give (tax deductible) to my missions trip then please read my “Support Information” page or click on the “Support Me” link on the upper left hand side. I will graciously accept any amount of support whether it be $1 or $1,000,000 J I am a little behind on the fundraising goals that AIM has set up for us, but I know the Lord will provide when the time is right!

Could you give up one cup of coffee in the morning to help me bless the lives of thousands of people through God’s grace as well as help change my life?
Thank you SO much for reading. Have a blessed day!
