God sends messages. God sends me messages. God sends me messages that leaved me absolutely floored. I’m sure you’ve read how God sent me the message about “Why Me.” Why pick ME to go on The World Race? Righteousness. That message occured on the first Sunday I attended Southbridge Community Church. Out of ALL the topics that could’ve been spoken about, I just happened to have one of my prayers answered that I’ve been asking about. Coincidence? NO! God led me there on THAT day. Rachel asked me to come THAT day. It could’ve been any other Sunday, but that was the Sunday I needed to be there. Ahh….that’s only the beginning….
The next Sunday we were blessed to have the MN Teen Challenge choir come in and speak to us. It was very heartwarming to see and hear the stories of recovery that God has blessed all of those people. There was no message that Sunday, but it was just an amazing experience.
Now….the following Sunday was the finale of The Beginning series. Again, I felt God was sending me a message. It’s not that I needed more confirmations about going on The World Race because let’s face it, I’m already in baby. I love the fact that God still sends me messages to help me get a better perspective on The World Race. After reviewing about Noah’s story, Pastor Darin opened up the message by saying “Has God ever asked you to do something that you thought just seemed crazy?” And then he continued saying, “Has God ever led you to something so out of the box, so different, so in the natural crazy?” I think this is where Rachel and I turned to eachother and just said “Wow!” Annnnyways, yes, I think The World Race is a crazy idea. I’d be leaving everything I’ve worked so hard for, leaving my family and friends to journey around the world and do some crazy things! Pastor Darin says to make sure YOU BE CAREFUL when God asks for something crazy. Think it out. Don’t be reactive and try to find reliable, experienced, Godly counselors that you can trust. Hello Rachel and Jenny! π I trust these girls with everything. Thousands of people have gone on The Race before me and they have all answered God’s call to do something crazy. I guess I’m up next!
Lastly, today, Palm Sunday service was the icing on the cake. Today’s message was about PHILIP. I opened up the bulletin to look at the notes and up and down both pages were bullets and scriptures about PHILIP. Whaaaaaaaaaat!?! I seriously started to tear up! And as Rachel was telling Jenny the story on the phone all I heard was-“Today’s message was about PHILIP. Phil almost peed his pants, infact, I think he did a little.” π I always knew growing up that my Grandma named me after the person PHILIP in the Bible. I never really looked up who PHILIP was, but I just figured he was a cool dude. I’m not sure where the extra “L” in my name came from, but maybe it was just a special touch. π Well today I got a crash course on who PHILIP was. Again, God sent me a message. Thank you Lord! Everything that was mentioned about PHILIP tied into The World Race somehow. Take a look at the notes for today:

The bullet points explain themselves. Could it be that I was meant to do this CRAZY World Race before I was even born? I know it’s a BOLD and CRAZY question, but we all know God works in mysterious ways.
Today blew me away. Hands down. I hope that I continue to get God’s messages, but what He has provided me has truly been a blessing. In all reality I am still NEW to all of this. The past 22 years I have had an arms length relationship with God….now we are HEART TO HEART. God has pulled me in for a whirlwind and I am loving every minute of it. I have SO much to learn, SO many scriptures to read, and SO many like minded people to meet. I’m starting to not believe in luck or coincidence anymore. I have given my heart to Jesus and now He is in control. He controls the messages, the lessons, and even the outcomes. I know I am in GREAT hands!
For all of you “Pre-Announcement” friends I have let in on my World Race blog, I have made the decision to go public on Easter Sunday. I’m a thinker…haha π I wanted to get a few things on my blog so people can read some background on what I’m doing and hopefully I will touch their lives and show how God works magic in our lives when we least expect it. π
