If you know me, you know that I LOVE food. FREAKING LOVE it. The Wikipedia food portal and yelp are some of my favorite places to browse around. One of the things I'm looking forward to the most is trying all the different foods around the world.

The thing that I use to wonder is, will food be left behind after the resurrection? I say use to because I now have the answer. Heaven would not be heaven without food. Bold? I like bold flavor. But I can understand why most people would disagree with that. What's the point of food when our heavenly bodies doesn't need anything to sustain itself? But the truth is that food is just not fuel, through Jesus' ministry, we can see that He treats food more than just fuel for the body. God Incarnate eats. From the miracle in which He turned water to wine, to the feeding of the 5,000 and 4,000. Even when Jesus was resurrected He ate; Luke 24:42-43. When He broke bread we can see that He gave thanks, so from here we can see that it's not just something to sustain us. It's gift, generosity, and grace. For us we use it as a catalyst for ministry and relationships. It represents culture, geography, and people.

And what better way to celebrate the redemption of the world with then a great feast? 🙂
