Not only was the Onething Conference awesome, God showed up
big time in this short 1.5 days.

It’s Thursday night and we’re still debating whether we
should purchase the tickets for the Onething Conference the next day. We kept
feeling like God said to not purchase them but to just show up at the lobby
area. So we waited.

Friday rolled around and we spent some time in the morning
praying into what God would have us do today. God gave me a vision of a rather
stout looking Hispanic man with a moustache and hair combed back. And He gave
me the verses Matt 11:28-29 to give to him. I told my team what I saw and we
kept a lookout for that man.

After spending some time praying for the valet guy at our
hotel and having fun at a park, we drove to the Onething Conference. Sarah went
and asked if there was a way she could volunteer and get in for free. No luck.
But then we went to line up for registration anyways. We waited and waited. We
debated whether we should offer up the $50 that we had and asked if they could
let 3 people in instead of 2. Suddenly Teri came up to us and told us that she
just got off the phone and somebody had offered to buy us tickets! And because
the conference was pretty close to its capacity, they were only selling 50 more
on-the-spot tickets. And we were definitely in that first 50 people! CRAZY!

As if this was not crazy enough, as I was standing outside
the hall eating my banana before the conference started, I saw Sarah Taylor,
one of my squadmates who lives in Nevada. Apparently Sarah was at her friend’s
house in Orlando when she heard God told her to go to the Onething conference.
2 days go by and things just got in the way that she forgot to register. But
tonight, she hopped in her friend’s car and drove to the Onething conference
anyways. She asked around if there was anyway she could get in but the response
she got was “Oh, that’s not good that
you’re not registered because we are maxed out. Your best bet would be to go
the lady behind the counter who is the director’s wife and see if she can help
you out.”
So she went and the director’s wife pulls a ticket out of her
back pocket! “This is the last ticket
that I have because one of my volunteers did not show up. You can have it.”

CRAZY!

At the end of the night when we were about to leave, Sarah
Taylor couldn’t find her car keys. So we went asking for a lost and found
counter. “Sorry we don’t have a lost and
found, but your best bet would be to talk to the lady behind the counter who is
the director’s wife.”
So back to her again we go, and lo and behold, she
had her keys! CRAZY!

So this was Friday night. On Saturday even crazier stuff
happened.

Halfway through the day, Sarah said that she had seen the
Hispanic man in my vision in the hall earlier. Not long after that, during
worship, I just suddenly saw him. It’s really hard to describe it, and I wasn’t
even looking for him, but then suddenly I just saw him in the crowd, like God
highlighted him among the people. I told Sarah and she confirmed that it was
the same man that she saw, which is CRAZY. So I went up to him, really scared (ok,
he’s a big security dude and I’m this petite asian) and I’ve never done this
before to someone I don’t know. So I just told him that I had this vision of
him yesterday and that God told me to give him Matt 11:28-29 and if there’s
anything that we can pray for him. He said, “No. I’m good. Thank you. I
appreciate that.” Ok.

The last night service rolls around and as Mike Bickle was
speaking, this man suddenly comes around to our side of the hall and made some
hand motions to us. We all thought we were in trouble. “Oh, no, it’s your drink!” “Oh no, maybe he’s saying that we’re not
supposed to eat in here!”
We went to meet him after the service, still
scared and wondering what’s going on. He told us that when I approached him
earlier, he was in a meeting and so was only half listening. But then later he
knew that he had to find us and talk to us again. But how was he supposed to
find us in this big hall of 1800 people? As soon as he finished praying for God
to help him, he looked up and saw us. He quickly got out of his seat, didn’t
care that Mike Bickle was still speaking, came over and hand motioned us to
meet him after the meeting.

Turns out his name is Eloi, and he and Elliot will be going
to Panama to start prayer houses! And he had asked God for confirmation that
random people would come up to him. CRAZY! As we shared and prayed over them, I could
just feel the Holy Spirit so strongly among us. It was just such a divine
appointment.

Another thing that was such a God-thing too was His
provision. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch and we were gonna
have the same thing again for dinner but I really didn’t want to eat it again.
So after lunch, I told God, “God, dude, I really don’t wanna eat that again,
can You just provide something else to eat?” And I was debating whether to pull
out some of my own money and buy some food. Just as I was thinking that for
like the 10th time, Sarah calls my phone and said that the couple
sitting behind us wants to take us out for dinner. “What?! What did you say again?” I couldn’t believe what I heard. Turns out this was the couple that was standing in front of us when we were lining up for
registration on the first day. We had alked briefly to them and shared what
we were doing. And then somehow, someway, they ended up sitting behind us on
the second day and then decided to take us out for dinner! CRAZY!

So who says God is not real
today? Dude, He is SO REAL!
