25/4/11 (Honduras
Day 24. World Race Day 109)

Something really cool happened on our last day in Honduras. A
few of us went to say goodbye to the kids in Los Pinos, and on the way back
Luis decided to come with us and spend the night at the farm. As soon as Luis
got in the car, Henry started talking to him. And this is what Henry told Luis:

“In the very beginning, Henry was the one raised from the drugs, from the
streets, from all the problems of not having parents, by Tony and Nidia. The
second one being raised right now is Christopher. In the future, there is going
to be more that is going to be raised. And they are going to go into Los Pinos,
and they are going to be raising more, and then it’s going to go into
Tegucigalpa, and then it’s going into Honduras. Henry is telling Luis that he needs
to start looking out for Tony and Nidia, to start being careful with their
money, to be able to appreciate the things they are doing for the people
because they don’t have the money but they keep using the money anyway. “

These were Henry’s own words. Tony didn’t prep him to say
this to Luis, in fact he was surprised that Henry showed so much
responsibility.

“We have taken a young man that most of the world did not
believe in. He’s downstairs, wanting to be here, talking about school, talking
about wanting a puppy, talking about piano lessons.

We don’t know why God included us in all of this. For
whatever reason, there were other groups before you, and there are other groups
coming. Why did God have this happen to you now? Is He preparing you for
something? You are like plants with your roots in the soil here. And we have to
remove the roots really really slowly, so we don’t damage the plant. Because
you need to be transplanted somewhere else, because you need to grow more.
Remember what God did with us here. He did what people said was impossible. We
became one as a community. We lived life together.” (Tony’s last words to us)

God is definitely doing something crazy here. He is raising
up disciples, and then sending them out to the nations, just like Jesus sending
out his 12 disciples, and then sending out 72, to Jerusalem, throughout Judea,
in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Great things are about to happen!
