So I made it to Cambodia! I thought last month we were in the middle of nowhere haha but this month we really are in the middle of nowhere. I am just going to paint you a pretty picture of where we’re at this month:
There are 14 World Racers in this little village in one small house, but I’m outside in my tent!! There are a billion mosquitoes. The land is very dry, and the sun is very, very hot. You pretty much sweat as soon as you get out of the shower. But the funny thing is, we don’t have a shower, we have to pour water over our heads with a bucket, which is okay on a nice hot day. Sometimes we get to walk down the dirt path, and go swimming in a rice paddy with the kids. We eat in a little coffee shop, but the coffee shop is nothing like home. We definitely have some little friends that run around in there at night, aka mice and rats. But saying all that, I still really love it here, even with not much internet, no running water, and no electricity except for a little bit when they run the generator [if it works] … it’s nice to be secluded. It’s very beautiful here though; there are the most palm trees I’ve ever seen in my life.
This month we are helping to teach English again to the village kids. We play soccer in the mornings down at the school. We do some gardening at an orphanage as well.
