If you know me then you know I love to watch TV series. When I start a new series I become mesmerized by the show. I stay up countless hours without any human interaction just to finish one season out of the series. I love it! The characters become my friends, and at times my enemies. Whether they are stranded on an island or in prison I want to join them. If they are a vampire or even work for a paper company, I crave to be by their side. When characters die or a series ends, I mourn. At this the readers of this blog are at the point are throwing red flags left and right and respectfully so. Hello my name is Paul Stafiej and I am TV series addict.

The reason I share my addiction is because TV series have shaped how I view my life. In my opinion, my life has aired 6 seasons and the 7th has just begun. With each new season new characters are introduced, character development is seen, plot twists occur and past relationships end while new relationships and adventures begin. With each new episode and season that passes, I grow and develop. God breaks me and then builds me back up. He is my director and producer. I am just the leading role.

Luckily for you the 7th season of Paul’s Life has just begun and episode 1 has officially aired. If you missed out on it, this blog is your TiVo. Sit back and enoy the recap…with no commercials!

The first episode (month 1 of the Race) was insane. Paul left home and made a very extensive journey to Dondo, Mozambique, leaving behind past characters and relationships only to be introduced to new ones. He worked with orphans and widows in a local township playing games, teaching English and technical drawing, praying for the sick, and worshipping with the unwanted and forgotten. He ate crazy foods and met crazy people. He then traveled to South Africa for a week of bonding with new friends where adventures occurred. Adventures such as swimming in the Indian Ocean, climbing a waterfall, exploring a rainforest, attending the semi-final game of the African Cup, and sleeping at a hostel. What!….a whirlwind. The episode ended with Paul preparing to travel to his next destination of Swaziland where he will be living in the mountains working with orphans for a few weeks.

Stay tuned for Episode 2 where new journeys are destined to occur!

Bonus Features: Behind the Scenes

On the set of Paul’s Life the director and producer God began to break Paul. He wanted Paul to truly seek direction from Him and rely on Him alone. He wanted Paul to accept his role as a leader as well as the gifts that are associated with that role. If you haven't experienced this, it's a stretching process! One huge realization for Paul while on the set was that if he wanted to make a revolution, he had to get off his knees and go out and begin it. He had to learn to be independent while at the same time dependent on God. Paul recognized that the Holy Spirit is active in places where people are desperate for Him, humbled before Him, and are not distracted by their desires of wealth and comfort. That if a person wants a true relationship with God expecting balance is a mistake. Needless to say Paul grew…he grew a lot. And it’s only the season premiere!

In all seriousness, I wanted to again thank everyone who has supported me in this process so far. This journey is not just my own but is also yours. In order for me to continue the race I need to raise $3,000 by the end of March and $4,000 by the end of June. Please please please consider supporting me financially! I know that God is faithful and He will provide but I also recognize it is my responsibility to ask for prayer/support. I know I am called to be on the race for a full 11 months but can only do so through your support! Please share my blog and journey with friends/family/and businesses.

Again thank you all for you love and support! Stay tuned for Episode 2 coming your way very very soon!
