Training camp was everything I hoped it would be and more. God showed up and revealed himself to me and I will be forever grateful for those life-changing moments. We had the opportunity to worship with abandonment, be released into freedom, and acquire confirmation that this path we have chosen is indeed meant for us. We met some incredible people who work or volunteer at AIM and I can honestly say that I have never felt so encouraged and loved in my life! It was such a blessing to have person after person tell us how glad they were that Paul and I were there – as a married couple, as Canadians, and as ourselves.
One of the things we were looking forward to most was meeting the people who would be on this journey with us. There are 51 people on “B-squad” and every single one of them contributes something special. Half way through the week our squad was divided into teams of 8. These are the people we will live with, travel with and do ministry with for the next 11 months. It is with great pleasure I introduce you to “Team Transformation Station”.
Training camp was the perfect illustration of God’s desire for the church. Hundreds of people from all different backgrounds came together and instantly became family. We opened up, shared stories and fears and began to build into one another’s lives. We prayed like we have never prayed before for one another and trusted in God’s power to heal and provide.
We’ll post more soon about how we got our team name and who our lovely teammates are! Please be praying for final preparations and fundraising – only 11 weeks ’till launch!
