thank you all for your prayers, ive needed them i still need them, but i also know that your prayers are being heard, and God is moving, not only in my life but, in the lives of my teamates. i just want to update you on our ministry down here. it is what some might say not as important or maybe less of a ministry it might not be as flashy, but according to my friend James it is what true religion is all about. we are working in a hospital slash orphanage. many of the children are disabled, mostly physically, and many are there because there families just leave them on the door step. it was so hard not to pick up children everywhere we went, there are so many. there is an older man from the states who works for a company that gives away wheel chairs for children, he is here playing with the kids but also equiping them with chairs. he was telling us that we really need to pick one or two to minister to, and when i say minister, i mean hold and play with and to simply love. he told us the parable of the star fish, where a little boy is throwing star fish into the ocean, and there are thousands of star fish on the beach and a wise man walks up and asks him why do you bother, you cant possibly make a difference there are too many, the little boy looks up and says, im making a difference for this one, and throws another one into the ocean. it was a powerful story when your standing in this hospital and the star fish arnt star fish but children who sit in cribs or beds for 21 or 22 hours a day, because they dont have anyone to simply hold them or to play with them. please pray as our team tries to make a difference in the lives of just a few of these children whom God loves so very much. i hope to have pics of some of these beautiful children after a couple of days. as always stay classy planet earth.
in Him
paul
