yesterday i had the great privelage of reading one of the most basic bible stories to a very bright girl in the hospital slash orphanage slash nursing home. we read the story of david and goliath, from that story elliot, my translator, and i were able to tell niddia about how God loves her and wants to be her friend. we shared some verses from the roman road with her. and told her what she must do to be saved, she appreciated everything we told her, and really opened up to us after that, please pray for her that she will make Jesus her savior, i hope it will be before we leave, but it will have to happen in the Lords timing. a couple of days ago we also were able to take some of the kids to a chicken restaurant, it was such a joy for them to get out and just see people and get to eat regular food, anyways life here is pretty much the same, but its awesome getting to work with the kids and just playing with them. last night we looked at romans chap 8, the second half that talks about our future glory and how our present suffering is not worth comparing to that glory that God has in store for us. those verses have encouraged me because when i was focusing on my problems i really was getting upset and depressed, but when i startted focusing on the ministry, and loving the kids, its almost like my problems went away, and really when i was talking to niddia the verses that kept coming to my mind was whatever you have done to the least of these you have done onto me, and i kept thinking this is Jesus sitting in front of me, and its obviously a privelage to meet Jesus, so i couldnt help but think man i really dont have any problems, im doing exactly what God wants me to and nothing is stopping me right now. so right now ministry is really good. today we are going to read to her daniel and the lions den, maybe play some checkers and sing some songs, jessica can play the guitar, it should be a good time. anyways this blog is aready too longs so i hope you are all doing great please keep praying for niddia and her salvation. also please pray for the team as we have some major decisions to make in the next couple of weeks. thank you and stay classy planet earth
in Him
