During our next 10 days of Ask the Lord month we were in a Muslim community where white people are not seen very often. We got a lot of looks by the locals since most seemed that they have never seen one before. So we get in and get settled in then we go to the market where they were selling some street food and it was so good and it was very very cheap (chicken breast was only $0.65) During our first day there the local kids playing soccer kicked the ball over the fence so they could come and take a closer look at what white people were doing in the house.

For the first full day we went to town to see what was there and what kind of contacts we could find to partner along side with for the month or for a few day and to see what the city was like. We decided that street ministry was a good option since there was not a whole lot that we could find.

On one of the days we did street ministry we went down to the river and saw a guy fishing and did not minister to him but I did pray for him in my heart. We went back after we got to the end of the side walk and then walked up to the 7 eleven. We got to meet a guy there who was there every day and got to encourage him and we bought him some snakes and a coke to enjoy. Although we did not dire city tell him about Jesus we got to bring him so much joy to his heart. He looked so much happier after we left him. Every day after we talked to him I saw him there outside that 7 eleven and was reminded that was what this month was about, filling people with love and joy.

On another day we went around our local community where we were living and doing a prayer walk. We got to pray around the Muslim school/church and around the community. We were also running low on food but we found a grocery store out there and that saved us stopping on the way back from town to get food for the next few days that we were there for. Prayer walks might seem like a waste of time since we did not talk to anyone that day. The Lord heard our prayers and answered them. We will likely never know that fruits of our prayers for that community but one day when we get to heaven.

On one of our last days we tried to get into the mosque, but we were not dressed for it. So we came back the next day and we found out that the women needed long sleeves as well as their legs and heads covered so we did not go into pray there. We decided to just go a little ways from there and sing some songs of worship in the park. I hope that our prayers reached the mosque and people there saw visions of Jesus reaching out to them during their prayers and showing them the truth.

We are headed to the Prayer Mountain next to see what God has for us there. I have no idea what it will look like but I am excited
