Hello Friends and Family,

Last May I graduated from
Metropolitan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Information Assurance. Near the end of my education I saw a news clip on the 700 Club about The World Race. I felt that I should do it but I decided I should find an internship or a full time job first and go later in my life. But God had a different plan; he wanted me to go before I get a permanent job in my field to grow closer to him for the next chapter of my life. I’m excited to tell you about what my next year will look like on the adventure known as The World Race!

The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 countries around the world. My route will take me to Haiti,Bolivia,Peru,Ecuador,Malawi,Zambia,Zimbabwe,Thailand,Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia.  I will be in each country for about a month. My team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to build churches and schools, work in orphanages, teach English and bring the hope of Jesus’ love to the people of these nations. A squad of 40+ young adults will travel to each country. We will be divided into teams of 5 to 7 and will remain with the same team for these 11 months.

In addition to gear, I will need $16,264 by September 2014 to leave fully funded. I am working as much as possible at my current theater job and continue to look for a temporary job in information technology. I ask for your prayers for wisdom during my preparations and while on the race. I also invite you to consider supporting me; every gift will be greatly appreciated.  Checks can be made payable to Adventures In Missions and sent to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA, 30374-2570. Please put Paul Koenen on the check’s memo line so it can get into my account. The enclosed response card will provide AIM with the information needed to send you a receipt as all donations are tax deductable. You may also donate online by visiting my blog site at PaulKoenen.theworldrace.org and clicking on the “support me” at the top.

For those who may be interested in following my journey, my blog can be found on the World Race website under “Racers”.  I invite you to be a part of this adventure of sharing Christ’s love with these various parts of the world.

Yours in Christ,

Paul Koenen
