My thoughts are in blue

If the dead could speak.  Why would you speak about the dead?  That’s creepy.  But do you want to know what is creepy?  Let me tell you what’s creepy.  What’s creepy is how we can have a cure to something sicker than cancer and we do not give it out (This the hope that we have in Jesus and his healing power) because we would rather hold it in our pockets. (We are afraid of what others will say)  That’s Creepy.  That’s not just Creepy that’s cruel and unusual, it’s strange it’s weird and it’s common. (We miss chances every week and sometimes every day)  Look to your neighbor (anyone you know) and smile.  And now realize that even though you smiled at your neighbor and you were kind they still may not share with you the biggest message of all time (that Jesus came for you).  I call it the gospel.  But if the dead man could speak he would probably say with as much passion as he could in his decomposing body that he had never heard of such a thing (That Jesus came for him). That he never experienced such a thing (God’s Love for him).   He might ask YOU “Why did you smile at me if you were just going to let me die?”  If the dead man could speak he would ask you “What was so scary about stepping out of what was politically correct to tell me that someone died for me?”

Sometime I think we get wrapped up in the in the small things that we forget the big things.  We allow our fear, our greed, idolatry, qualification and complacency to stop us from giving the biggest ministry of all time (The message of the Gospel).  Love is an action word not a contemporary word.  (we need to live out love) that we will we break apart and dissect and spread apart and share in a sermon or a dissertation or an essay or a response.

So if the dead man could speak he would probably look you in the face and ask you why you never talked (share with him the hope you have in Jesus).  If the dead man could speak he would probably ask you if you thought you were being complementary or kind by lying to his face about the future in his life (once he dies) and never allowing him the opportunity to chose Christ.  If the dead Man could speak probably ask you if it was worth it (the dead man rejecting Jesus and/or your hurt felling)  If all that money you saved was worth it.  Tell it to the face of a dead man who never had a chance to experience life or heaven or eternity (with Jesus in heaven).

Let’s go back to the beginning of the story.  Let’s say the dead man could talk.  And he came into the classroom (or where you work) you know because that how bones walk.  Let’s say he limps and looks everyone in the face and says  “Hey I remember that time. I remember that time you gave me the opportunity, you gave me that chance.  You gave me something that I didn’t even ask forSomething that I didn’t  seek but now I have nothing to but thank you.  Because I could have spent my entire life burning.  But you came to me you spoke to me, you gave to me.  And now I just want to thank you for being obedient .

This is what God wants to tell us

You gotta give of yourself because it will cost you to share this Gospel (rejection, people mocking you, or even someone killing you because you believe).    If the dead man could speak, they all would say different things depending on how we interacted with them.  Speak to those in love Please.  You don’t need posters and signs and anger.  Speak to them in love.  Speak to them the word.  I don’t want your doctrine or indoctrination, just give them the word, please child.  But let your guard down and let me use you (I have great plans for you)  And yes sometimes it will hurt and sometimes you’ll cry in your room all alone and you will wonder why nobody accepts you.  You’ll wonder why no one respects you.  And then you will remember the dead man.  And you will smile because when he sees you the next time the only words that are going to come out of his mouth are Thank you.
