It was another night in my room at my contacts location when I was thinking about what our contact had told us about Bibles, and all the things I heard about people asking for them. So I decided to send a text to my mom (cost me about $1 to send it) and the next night I got a reply that my mom and dad would add $225 in into my swab account. That would men about 25 new Bibles for the people here. So I went looking for my contact and he was with his son in the car and when I told him he was over joyed about it and informed me of the 10% discount when you spend more than 100,000K (550k=1usd). So the next day I got the money and it took 4 withdraws since the ATM only gives out 40k at a time and I needed 125,000k
On Tuesday we went to the place where they sold Bibles to buy them but they were closed so we came back the next day. We were able to get 41 Bibles, 39 in the local language and 2 in English. We gave the English one to one of his family members.
The other English Bible has a cool story to it so here it is. So we came one night to buy some chips (French Fries) from the local guy we had talked to a few times before. On our first visit to him he was asking for an English Bible but at the time we did not have one, so we bought some chips (best I have had on the Race so far) and went back home. We visited him a few more times and he kept asking for one. So the night that we got the Bibles we went out to him to buy some chips and give him the Bible. We went up to him and the chips were not ready yet. So me and Ryan sat down to talk to him. He asked “Do you have an English Bible for me?” and Ryan replied “Today is your lucky and he handed him the Bible.” He was so overjoyed with the bible. We came to buy chips and even though he had a long line for them he gave us a large portion (more than we would have gotten for 150k) and he said “You gave me a gift so I need to give you a gift” We told him to start at Mathew and read from there. Our contact told us that he is a trouble maker in the village and a Bible would be a good thing for him.
So on Sunday we went to the church we where we were working with and did a church service as a team. After the church service we started passing out Bibles. One of the people gave a Bible away because God told them to. Many people are not able afford a Bible of their own so it was major step of Faith for them. When we gave him a Bible he was so full of joy. After passing them all out one of the women there fell to the floor and started flopping on the ground uncontrollably. I knew that was a demon fighting God. So I got on the ground and kept on saying “Satan in the name of Jesus depart” until it left her and she calmed down. I told the pastor that he needed to explain what was going on and to meet with her 1 on 1 after that.
Later that day we went to the village where we planted a church. We did a short message and passed out 13 new Bibles. After passing them out, we went outside to pray for people and take a group photo of everyone who was there. Some of my team went into the car since it was time to go. After a short time one of my team members came up to those of us in the car and said “there is a woman going crazy in there” So we got out and I did the same thing as I did that morning with the first one. After we cast that demon out another person came up to one of my team members and said “I have a demon”. So as we started praying for her she fell to the ground and went crazy, but we cast that demon out as well.
After we finished praying for people there we went to the other village we went to and passed out some Bibles there as well. It was late so all we did was pass them out, took some photos and left.
When we got back I ate dinner and went to my room since I was way more tired than normal. I asked God “Why am I so tired” and God replied “You did a great thing for my kingdom, I gave you strength to cast those 3 demons out of those people and now you need to rest”. So I fell asleep for around 12 hours in a row (yea half of a day, that’s more than I have ever slept eve in my entire life)
