3 days of Travel
8:00 am wake up
10:30 am – leave for the air port
11:00 am – arrive at the airport
2:30 pm – realized that my flight was delayed getting in
5:00 pm – arrive at O’hair
5:10 pm – wait till the other flight that the second part of my team gets in (their flight got delayed)
8:00 pm- checked though the next airline, went through security, and got to my gate
8:30 pm – Eat a cheese burger, fries and drink as my last meal in America
10:30 pm – 5pm (local time in Turkey) enjoy a long flight with 2 meals,
5pm-5am (turkey time)- find a place to sleep, eat pizza, try a coke from turkey, enjoy a coke from turkey, find 2 coins from turkey in the coke machine
5 am -6 am found milka candy bars (the jumbo ones that are over 12 inches long) one in oreo and the other is a smore one and get them for $7.5 total to share with my team
6:15 am get on plane for Albania
8:00 am arrive at Albania and take bus off plane to get to baggage claim
8:15- 11 am get baggage, wait for the leader to get a sim card, get a taxi cab ride to the hostel where we are going to stay for the next few days.
While in Turkey I saw that all the currency has the symbol of Islam on it. I also had a chance to see some of the city from the airport and saw a lot of mosques. I also found out that it was illegal to share the word of God with anyone under the age of 18. It made me realize how much freedom that we have here in America to talk about God and how over there we can’t share it.
