1. There are showers- There are bucket showers for both guys and girls and you can find time to do them every day that you are at TC.  I took a few showers but I never felt fully clean after one since it was hot on the days that I took them.

2. Free Time- You will have free time on most days, use this time to talk with your fellow squad members, they are going to be your family for the next year.

3. Woman’s retreat/Man Hike – if you do not know already there is a woman’s retreat and a Man Hike (for more info on the hike check out my last blog)

4. Squad Wars– on the last full day of camp you will have squad wars where you will compete in several games and events.  You will need to work together as  a squad to win.

5. Sessions-you will have at least 1 of these each day, there are several topics that they go over and they are all packed full of important info

6. Bring a note book- You are going to have a lot of things to process and a lot of notes from the Sessions  that you are going to want to have written down for later.

7. Training Camp is different every time- Each time AIM does a Training Camp something is different from the last time.  An example is that at one time men had to get down to their undies and swim with a log above the water and swim for 1.5 miles, that did not happen at the TC I was a part of.

8. You will not be able to charge your phone– You are not going to be able to charge your phone until late into TC.  My advise is to keep it off unless you need to check it for work related things.  You will have a chance to use it near the end of camp so make sure you have battery life left in it.

9. God will be taken of the box– At TC you will learn about the box that we have put God in, and learn how to take him out of the box.

10. Bring what you are going to bring on the race – Training Camp will give you an idea of what you will need to bring on the race, you need to be able to pack up quickly, so don’t pack to the point where everything will only fit in 1 way in to your pack.  You will also need to keep it under 50 pounds.

11. You will be shocked at where you can sleep – There was a night called tarp night were all 55+ of us  had to sleep under 2 tarps it was wet and cold but we were all able to get to sleep at some point in the night.
