About my wife…

I've decided to change it up a bit; instead of blabbering on about myself, I thought I'd give you a glimpse of what I see in Katrina. Katrina and I have been married for about a year and half and have known each other since we were 12 & 13 years old. She is currently in the last week of her undergraduate degree, studying Languages at Wilfrid Laurier University. She works hard to be the best she can be and that's something I really admire about her. She is motivated and hardworking; not only in school but with our marriage as well. She is my support and is always there for me when I need her. She is always putting her own needs aside for mine. This is the kind of love that makes our marriage blossom. Also, she has a heart for God and more than anything, I know that she wants to continue a deep, passionate relationship with her heavenly Father. This is what we both strive for on a daily basis; to have that longing to know Him better and to follow in His steps and listen for His calling.
Katrina can be very sensitive, but is probably one of the toughest people I know! Furthermore, she loves her family more then anything, including the dogs! She is a very adventurous woman and one of her greatest passions is travelling. Discovering new countries and places is something that very much excites her. I could go on and on but instead I'll leave you with a few short quirks about Katrina that you probably didn't know:
– she doesn't drink the last sip of her coffee
– absolutely petrified of snakes, small or big
– she doesn't eat the last bite of her banana (because there could be spiders at the end!)
– intense drooler at night!
– she's the handyman of the house, (I know, I know…)

About my husband…

Paul is an incredibly talented man who captured my heart from a young age. As you can see…he's a cook and he's working towards obtaining his red seal as a certified chef. He can cook some super delicious meals and is looking forward to trying new foods in all the countries we'll travel to. His favourite cuisines are French and Italian and he makes a mean "steak dianne". Paul grew up in a big family with 4 brothers and 1 sister. Their house was and still is the loudest and most welcoming place I've ever been. There is always something exciting going on and family dinners are absolutely hilarious. The family just keeps getting bigger and bigger and we now have two adorable nephews whom we love dearly!
The most important thing in Paul's life is his family and the relationships he has with close friends; he would do anything for any of them. He loves to play baseball (in real life and on xbox) and he's the fastest runner on his team! Some other sports he enjoys are skiing and roller blading (except for when I take him down with me when I fall). Paul is passionate about helping others and he's always up for an adventure. He is extremely hard-working, dedicated and provides amazing encouragement to those around him. Paul can be shy at first but if you have the chance to spend some time with him these are some things you might learn:
– he has a great voice and loves music
– he is afraid of spiders
– he has really interesting conversations in his sleep
– his clothing matching abilities are questionable
– he enjoys maintaining a uni-brow except when I pin him down with tweezers in hand
– he burns himself nearly every day
I can't wait for you to meet the amazing man that I am lucky to call my husband, and we can't wait to begin this wonderful journey with all of you (our team, our squad and our SUPPORTERS).
– Katrina
