Vietnam.
I have found that this beautiful country is vastly different than both Thailand and Cambodia.
This month I am in Da Nang, Vietnam. In a city of 1 million people, I have seen two white people. So, you can imagine the stares that I get walking down the crowded streets. However, where Vietnam is also different is that they seem to enjoy foreigners. They want to talk to me. They want to practice their English, and they want to ask questions about me. This results in such a prime opportunity to tell them about why I am here and why I am traveling the world. But how do I do that when that conversation is illegal? How do I interact with them, when the police will come and question me if too many people talk to me? How long can I continue to only play music and sing to Papa on a dark rooftop at night? How long do I have to be stuck inside my hotel room reading the Important Book, because I can’t bring it out in public? How long do I have to live in secret? Then I answered myself. One month. Just one month until I leave for Africa, but the other people here who believe the same that I do…they have to live in secret for their lives. Forever.
This is a short post, because if you haven’t noticed, I can’t say everything that I want to say, because of the country and the government that runs it. So, pay attention to the code words! I will be sure to talk more about the details once I leave Vietnam. Please be chatting to Papa about the opportunities to get past the barriers of law, in order to share the Good News with people here.
Also, please be chatting to Papa about my upcoming financial deadline. I have less than one month to raise another $2,300 to continue on to Africa. I would love it if you would financially partner with me in this journey. There has already been so much fruit, both in my own life and in the lives of the people I have been able to love these last few months.

Crossing the street in Vietnam is scary, because there are no stop lights or stop signs, and they don’t stop for you either!
