Love Beyond Borders…

To say that we are constrained by our own ideals is an understatement. We constrain ourselves, our loved ones, our friends, and our brothers and sisters around the world in imagined barriers that limit all of us.

We limit our ability to reach out to one another because of fear. We limit our ability to care for one another because of greed. We limit our ability to demonstrate compassion because of pride. We limit our ability to always do more because of doubt.

I am tired of these limitations. I will suffer them no more.

Through the World Race, my team and I will strive everyday to tear down the walls of personal pride. We will forge through the icy waters of prejudice and bias. We will bridge the trenches of inequality. We will use faith to always do more for our brothers and sisters.

As an offering of this coming mission, I will embark on my own journey to demonstrate that we can all overcome these obstacles together!

This weekend, I will participate in the Tough Mudder in Dallas. This 10-12 mile race includes 34 heartbreaking obstacles in its path. I will take this race with no training, but rather with faith alone! [maniacal laughter here]

I challenge all of you to push me further and to join my journey by pledging to donate $1, $5, or $10 for each obstacle I overcome!

Together, there is nothing we cannot do!
