I’m not one to have a great memory or keep in mind future plans. I very much live in the moment. But for months, I have been looking forward to meeting my new family. We all have! So many things to get excited about here in the next coming week!!! Training camp, try out new equipment, finally put a face to the voices we hear on conference calls. So awesome! But wait… I’ll be leaving to Georgia on the 4th. Hold on a sec, the Final Four starts the following day. Well poo! This kinda sucks… UT has been kicking butt this season, and they play tomorrow for a chance to go to the semi finals. If they win and advance I wont see it! Oh man… I love basketball! I’m gonna miss a lot of sports over the next year. I’m just now realizing this! No watching the Spurs. So long to seeing if the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl. And the Astros and Rangers, well…lets not kid ourselves. Yea, this is definitely foreign territory to me. Not being able to go to my TV and watch a game. But that goes to show you a bit of where my priorities have been. I’d rather be cheering for the sports teams, then praising Jesus. Hmm, something probably not right with that. I know He has placed all these great things around us for our enjoyment, and its not like I’m a crazy obsessed sports fanatic like my old youth pastor (JK! I only find him odd cause he likes the S.F. Giants). Even though I may not live it or show it all the time, I know God is suppose to be number one in my life at all times. Just one of the many things, I look forward to working on over the next year with Him. As I think about it now, I just have to chuckle. Less sports, if not NO American sports at all while traveling. It’s just gonna make life that much more cherishable when I get back from the race. But don’t worry guys, I wont let a little thing like missing the Final Four tourney put me in a bad mood. Can’t wait to get to know everyone and I’m counting the days till I get to meet my team.
