Well, we have officially made it to Romania!!! After a 9 hour bus ride and one sweet stop at a castle that looks like it’s right out of a novel, we have arrived!

For the past couple days our squad has been going out on the streets of Alba Iulia evangelizing to any and everyone we saw.

When I first heard we would be doing street evangelism, I had to take a deep breath. This is a new, scary area for me. Just the thought of going up to people and asking them about their relationship/knowledge with Jesus was enough to make me want to say ‘Um, uh uh. That’s not in my comfort zone’.

I was afraid that people would run away or scowl at me, but for the most part the opposite happened!

Many people, although a little hesitant, were very open to conversation, questions about their faith & knowledge of salvation, and almost everyone said yes to being prayed over!

People like Pierre & Christina – a french couple vacationing in Romania. Pierre wears a brace on his wrist due to rheumatoid arthritis. My squad mate and I were able to pray over Pierre’s wrist for healing.

People like Eustena & Elena – a grandmother and her granddaughter enjoying quality time together. We were able to pray for Eustena’s health and Elena’s high school exams she needs to retake next year.

I was humbled and in awe of how God brought us to people and opened the flow of conversation so we could spread the Gospel to those around us.

Evangelism is still new territory to me and it still makes me a bit nervous, but I’m no longer afraid of it and am excited to see how God continues to grow and use this gift in myself and my squad.
