I can honestly say that yesterday morning I unintentionally had at least 3 showers, watched 4 people jump off a bridge, and walked over to Zambia.

All in just 5 hours.

Late Sunday night 5 of my teammates and I boarded an overnight bus to visit Victoria Falls – One of the seven wonders of the world!

Our bus dropped us off bright and early, and lucky for us – Victoria Falls opens at 6:00am!

Feeling slightly haggard from a sleepless ride (and a little annoyed at being ripped off by our taxi driver), our spirits started to lift as we started exploring the park.

We were one of a small handful of people there!

We practically had the park to ourselves, with the sun rising in the background and a rainbow cresting the sky at every angle!

The mist coming off the Falls was so heavy in areas, that one second we were dry and the next second, we were drenched! But the sun shone the whole time!

The sheer power of the water and the lush green landscape everywhere the eye looked was breathtaking.

Next, we went to sign up for bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls bridge.
This meant we had to cross the Zambezi border into Zambia (which is a lot easier and quicker than it might sound!).

I was not able to do any bungee jumping due to my knee still healing up (you can read about that in my last blog). So, I went along for moral support as my teammates jumped 111 meters off the Zambezi bridge.

Gotta say, bungee jumping might be added to my bucket list now…

It’s days like this, that take my breath away and even strike a little fear into my heart. I am reminded of the glory of God and this little verse from Hillsong’sSo Will I (100 Billion X)’:

If the stars were made to worship so will I
If the mountains bow in reverence so will I
If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I
For if everything exists to lift You high so will I
If the wind goes where You send it so will I
If the rocks cry out in silence so will I
If the sum of all our praises still falls shy
Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times
