So I have been trying to articulate what I do on the field as a squad leader and really I haven’t come to that many conclusions. What I do know is that I have been at the beginning of 6 groups of people claiming who they are in the Kingdom of God. There are some days that it kind of sucks to be back at the beginning repeatedly, but of course there are those AH HA days that make it all worth it.
This whole month the women of K Squad have been focusing on our identities. Most Christians will tell you their identities are in Christ but rarely do they sit down and etch out exactly where their identity lies. We allow the world to play such a huge part in our identities.
A while back a friend of mine lost her job. Her identity had been so wrapped up in what she DID for the Kingdom that losing her job nearly crushed her and her family. Rarely did WHO she was in the Kingdom matter as much as WHAT she did. Yeah she was DOING great things for the Kingdom but in the end those things came and went. WHO you are in the Kingdom always matters no matter how old you are or what you DO with your life.
As I helped to focus these women on their identity this month I reminded them that we never ARRIVE at our identity. Our identity will always be under the microscope. We are always walking through the process of shedding the world for the lens of who God says we are.
Do you need to allow God to put your identity under the microscope today?
Below is a little snap shot of the truths that God has been revealing to our women this month.
