It’s that time again… Today I am in Chicago, IL to begin launch training for the World Race. I am headed back out on the 8th of September for four months to lead the K squad, second generation, of the World Race. AHHHHH!!!! I can’t believe that I am doing this again (this is my 7th trip to go on) but I know this is what God has for me in this season.
I was asked in mid July to lead the World Race. When I was asked I wasn’t sure that I was interested at all because I wanted to go and get a job that pays REAL money. HAHA! After i was asked I walked out the door and immediately heard God say “YES, YES, YES, YES, YES….” I knew then that I should say yes but I still fought God for a bit and asked around to hear everyone else’s opinions. Long story short, I said yes the next day and knew that this is right where I need to be.
My co-squad leader is a man named Justin Warren, who is also a fellow World Race Alumni. I am excited to get to lead alongside Justin and the 8 team leaders: Erin, Geena, Alicia, Tanner, Graham, Thomas, Tommy, and Zach. Justin and I will be out with the K squad for four months. We will travel to Malaysia, Australia, Vietnam and Cambodia with them. During that time we will raise up new squad leaders so that when we leave after four months they can then lead the squad for the next 7 months.
As with anything in life the transition is always hard. I am excited about going out again but with it comes a lot of responsibility and a lot of investment into peoples lives. Please PRAY for the Lord's wisdom and strength to overflow out of me.
