I hope you enjoyed the first of the Christmas videos and posts.  We will be celebrating Christmas on August 30, which is the exact day we all arrived at training camp last year (the first time we all met each other).  India thus far has been good but it is totally different than any other place we have been.  Most Indian’s practice Hinduism and some are Muslims, which creates a really heavy and confusing spiritual environment.  We have been battling sickness again like we did our first month in Chincha.  Please continue to pray for our health.

To help pass the time and get our minds off the heat we have decided to celebrate Christmas together, since we won’t be together for Christmas this year.  So far it has been incredible to see how something so simple as decorating the house for Christmas has brought us together as a squad again.  We now have a fireplace, the North Pole, a Christmas tree and many snowflakes made out of construction paper.  I love that we get to relax our minds and play together, sometimes we start to take ourselves too seriously.  So stay tuned for more updates on Christmas in India.

This month we are back together as a squad, which now consists of 25 people, we sent a few on different missions last month.  There have been a few crews headed out each day.  One crew is working at a Christian orphanage, teaching the children during their prayer time.  Another crew has also been at the orphanage in the mornings working on painting and repairing some of the facilities.  A crew is also headed out a few times a week to a leper colony, they are enjoying forming relationships with the people who are considered “the untouchables”.  And the last crew has been working with a new Indian friend who ministers to the Burmese refugees and some college students.  It has been good to have so many different crews helping out around Delhi.

We have a little over two weeks left here and today marks that we have about 100 days until the race is over.  Please keep praying for us to keep pressing in to ALL the Lord has for us.  It would be easy to check out and start thinking about the future but it is not what we desire.

Lastly…  As of a few days ago I am the new squad leader until the end of the race.  Many of you know that I have been leading a small team of 6 throughout the race and Rusty Jackson has been leading our squad.  Rusty is headed out to do some various tasks for the race for the next few months and I am stepping in to lead the squad.  It is an exciting and different task for me the next few months.  I look forward to seeing how the Lord will use me and change me through this leadership position.  Please pray that I would always lead with the wisdom of the Lord.

I love you all and thank you for your consistent prayers.  The Lord LOVES YOU and so do I!!!!
