God please show your love new to me today. God please show my doubting soul that you really are faithful and Im not alone. God can you convince me that I really am who you say I am and I am loved just as I am? Please Jesus.
I wrote this in my Journal on the flight from Malaysia not really expecting that God was going to answer. We arrived in Uganda Africa in a city called Entebbe and headed to our debrief location for a few days. When we arrived I immediately went to my room to get some sleep, I was exhausted. About an hour after I had laid down I was awakened by singing coming from outside our hotel. At first I was a bit frustrated wondering what all of the noise was, it was later that I learned that it was worship from the church next door. About 6 hours later worship was still singing out of every door, window, and crack. I made my way through the doors and it was there God answered my prayer.
Inside the church there was only a few people gathered, one man on the drums, a piano player, a bass player, and a woman singing. I spent the next few hours worshiping, dancing, and praying like I hadn't prayed in a long time. Later that night a few of the men came over to where we were staying and it was then I met some new brothers. I was playing guitar and we began to worship together, singing songs and praising God. There was just something different about these men, they were completely in love and sold out to Jesus, and it was radiating off of them.
The next few days were filled with worshiping, sharing meals, praying, dancing, and just having amazing fellowship together. I spent the nights out in my tent and every morning I was awakened by prayers from the church that began around 5am. Every morning the church comes together to pray, worship, and commit their day to the Lord! God showed me his love for me through his people! It was awesome and unexpected. I find myself hoping that one day I will return to live life with my new brothers, and learn what it really means to love and desire God above everything else in this life.
I am now in the city Kigali, Rwanda. Our ministry this month involves preaching every night in the church except on saturday, and going door to door each day sharing the good news! Its so amazing and I am quickly falling in love with this place! Today we saw two people give their lives to Christ!
I am still in need of around $2000 dollars to be fully funded on this trip. Thanks to all of you who have given and thanks for the prayers. You are all reaching and changing the nations with me! Please consider donating any amount will help! God bless!
