Its been a bit since Ive updated everyone and I apologize for that! We have been busy, and God has been at work. Right now we are in South Sudan, we were supposed to be in Uganda but plans changed a few weeks before we left Rwanda. Its pretty awesome because this month all of the men are here and the women are in Kenya. So we have been having some amazing fellowship just the 10 of us men.
Rwanda was an amazing month packed with preaching and sharing the gospel door to door each day. We saw so many turn to Christ over the course of the month and we were so blessed by the family and the church we were with. One story which stands out is a time we were sharing with some young men who were smoking marijuana and gambling under some trees. After telling them about the grace of God one of the young men took the cards which they were gambling with while we were sharing and ripped them up. Five men bowed under that tree and we asked God to give them a new start. I felt his presence there so strong that day!
I found out that I had malaria about a week ago so I have been fighting that! Praise God for medicine to take care of it, but prayer would be welcomed it has been over a week now and I am still having pretty intense fever and headaches. We are the first group of World Racers to come to South Sudan so ministry has been a bit slow as we are just building relationships here. Witch craft is common in this place and just a few nights ago we cast out ten demons from a woman from the community. It was something I have never experienced before, actually hearing the demons speak through her. Jesus is the victory and through him we are STRONG!
