Yesterday I had a moment while sitting in one of the English classes that we have been teaching here in Cambodia. I was just sitting and watching my teammates teach the class, when one of the girls on my team came to me and asked me, “Do you feel weird right now?” I was confused at first about what she was trying to ask and I responded with a simple, “No.” She then went on to explain that she felt that God wanted her to do something, but she wasn't sure what. A few seconds later she was asked to speak in front of the class by one of the students, and she was able to share for the next 10 minutes about the gospel. This was really awesome, however this is not the point of the story.

All of the students at the English center!
Her question really got me thinking, and in that moment I silently wondered if I should feel something. A voice inside of me seemed to say, “Pat, you really haven't been listening to God, you really haven't been walking by the Spirit.” The Bible is full of commands to walk by the Spirit, to keep in step with him. The Spirit is unseen so It is impossible to use our own sight to follow him, we need to listen and be still in order to receive his instruction. The Holy Spirit is God’s main channel of communication with us here on earth, he is the helper that Jesus promised would teach us all things. I believe in order to really walk by the spirit we need to actively listen for his gentle leading in our lives. I am working on this!

These men are going to reach Cambodia with the love of God! I will miss each of them! A few of them came to know Jesus through studying English at the center!
Yesterday we said goodbye to all of our new friends we made this month. I can definitely say this has been the best month on the race so far for so many reasons, but mostly because of the relationships that we built! My prayer as I head into Malaysia is God help me listen. God is speaking to us, He is leading each one of his children. The question is are you listening? Am I listening? I want to join with Samuel when the Lord called him and say, “Speak for your servant hears.” Take some time today to listen. God’s blessings and unfailing love to all of you!

This is the group of young men that we worked with in the evenings! We taught them about Jesus, shared our life stories, and also taught them English. Please take a moment and ask God to change their hearts and protect each of them. Only two of the boys are believers as of now.
