Do you know that God is always speaking to us? He speaks through situations, hardships, anger, peace, love, joy, people, creation, He speaks through life. God has been speaking a simple message over me lately here in Honduras. He has been saying Pat, “ JUST BE.”

For most of my walk with God I have felt like I need to earn his love. I have tried to do this with missions, sharing my faith, playing music, and serving, but no matter what I did I always seemed to be unable to reach the place I felt like God wanted me to be, I always felt like a disappointment to him. There is definitely a place for discipline in walking with God, however when we begin to look to spiritual disciplines to fill us up instead of Jesus we have created an Idol. Jesus is the only one who can satisfy us and God has blessed me with the next year to just be in his presence, to just hold his hand and watch the sunset, to walk the streets and love his people with him!

Do you know that God created you to be you? He created you to fill a unique role that no one else on the face of this earth can do, only you. Stop trying to be something that you were not meant to be, start walking hand in hand with the lover of your soul and just be! God is going to change your life but it will come with just being with him, God has given us 100% of his love we cant earn more and we cant loose the gift he has given us. God created us for freedom, God created us to love him and love others, he also created us to love who he has made us to be.

Today will you just take time and BE with Jesus? No agenda, no plan just be with him, let him speak to you! He loves you for you and not for who you might become. Know that you are loved perfectly if you are in Christ and that His love casts out fear. Im am learning I am accepted and loved completely, my prayer is that you will walk into this love with me! I am healing, thank you Jesus!

Ministry Update

This past week has been a bit different than planned, something I have come to expect on the race and in ministry in general. Anyway something came up with our contact and so we spent the last week here on the 10 acre property of Zion's Gate. We have been hacking brush down with machetes, moving rocks to add to the stone wall around the property, and other tasks in order to improve the property. Next week will be going to work with a local pastor in the community doing outreaches through soccer! God is working here and we are able to bring a little hope into communities filled with drugs, murder, and hopelessness. Please pray that God would change the places we go into, that his light would shine in the darkness. Pray for the love of Jesus to overcome my team and my life and that we would love each other and those around us more like He wants us to. Thanks and blessings!
