Feed my sheep.

My mind found it place on a beach huddled around a small smoldering fire, the smell of the morning catch still hanging on the air.

The restoration of Peter, the rock, the one who said he would die with Christ and then proceeded to deny even knowing him.

After Jesus asks Peter three times,  “Do you love me?” He follows it up with this.

18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”

To me this verse speaks of Maturity.

It speaks of hearing the voice of God and then following no matter what.

The day I heard the Lord say feed my sheep, I felt the call on my heart to do just that, to head back out onto the mission field only this time as a leader for World Race  X-squad.

I am excited and terrified to do this!

And just as the verse above states a part of me doesn’t want to go. I know I can trust his leading and so I expectantly follow, knowing the fear will soon fade and He will show me more of his love for me and others through this.

Is the place where you find yourself today the place where he has you or the place that you’ve chosen?

It’s not always easy to distinguish his leading. In fact some times it’s confusing and scary, sometimes…most of the time, it takes faith.

If we are to become mature in Christ and see his kingdom come we have to get beyond ourselves, we have to love the Lord then stretch out our hands and say father I will follow!

He told me to feed his sheep, what is he telling you?

I’m looking for partners to come along with me on this journey! Today was the end of training camp for X-squad… the amazing squad I will be leading for five months!

God is going to do great things through them and in them as we go on this adventure! Will you join with me in this? I need to raise around $6000 dollars to go to the field with them.

Check out this quick look at training camp and please join my team by clicking the support tab to the left! God Bless!
