Its easy to say that you love someone or something, but to show that love is a whole different thing altogether. Today I think I just realized that I am not so good at showing the love I profess. St. Francis of Assisi said "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words". Often times I do just the opposite, I say that I love someone and then just go on in my selfishness trying to do what is best for me. My desire is to get beyond myself and begin to truly love those around me. God has given me the next two months before the race to begin to love in deed and in truth. Examine your life today and see if your actions match your words. For faith without works is dead, and love without deeds is simply a lie.
