Hello and Merry Christmas!
God is doing incredible things all over the world! I’m always amazed at how we run into fellow believers across the globe! He as placed His men and women in all parts of the globe!! This month was a lot of relationship building with different ministries such as Stronghold Cambodia, Life International School, Cafe Awaken and a few others that have no official name but are simply people who love the Lord and chose to live out the Commission overseas.
Cambodia is an amazing place, and a hot spot for western tourists. There is a abundance of drugs, alcohol, sex, and cheap food. Many lost people run away from hurts, pains, and life and believe that if they come here that they will find satisfaction. They are just as dedicated to the party lifestyle as we all SHOULD be to Jesus Christ and making disciples. They sell all their possessions, quit their jobs, and leave family and friends behind to live without purpose and are devoutly committed to partying and getting as many people as possible to join them. There are many American veterans of the Vietnam War, Korean War, and even the Gulf War and the more recent War on Terror here. They use their pensions and GI benefits to live cheaply here. They are running away from their lives and families and the wars they fought. We were able to get to know a few of these men and pray with them as well as show love to them by simply sitting and listening to them. Pray for these men, that they would find their faith and courage in Jesus Christ!
One of the ways that Satan attacks is by neutralizing or completely defeating men, and he will use any and all means to do so. Nothing is off limits, therefore we must entrust all things to Christ. If nothing is off limits to the enemy, then nothing is off limits to Christ. I see lost, broken, and hurting men all over the world, and it could happen to any on of us if we are not fully devoted to Christ!
We are certainly feeling the strain of separation from our friends and families this Christmas, pray for us for endurance as we continue to show the love of God on the far side of the world. We are getting ‘over the hump’ and getting into the second half of the race. Burn out, exhaustion, and fatigue are and can be real struggles, so pray for a fresh anointing of strength and the Holy Spirit!!
