There is so much that goes on here, each and every day. Well, kind of. We have off days, we have days with a little ministry, and we have days with no ministry at all. If you looked at my team’s schedule you might actually be a little confused. With the lack of scheduled ministry my team and I have been presented with an amazing learning opportunity. This opportunity is pure gold because it applies to you and I, conveniently, everyday and no matter where we are on God’s green Earth. What I’m referring to is the chance to partake in unplanned ministry. For us over here in Thailand that looks like taking the initiative to wake up early on days where we only have “Rice Seeds Children Church” at 5 PM and going to serve our ministry host. For myself back in the United States it means making “Church” more than just a Wednesday or Sunday thing.

I’ve got a good little story for ya. So I spent about an hour or two writing this blog previously and then it got deleted because of who knows why. Naturally, my first reaction was to freak out. Then I remembered the entire point of my blog, drumroll…. Find where God is moving and jump right in. I absolutely did not want to re-write this blog, especially tonight. Then I realised that these blogs are where God is moving and maybe he just wanted to stir my heart a little to give you some words that might just change your life. Who knows, maybe not, maybe so, but I just want to encourage you and even myself that a day and better yet a life lived seeking his presence is a life greater than we can imagine.

Life is an adventure. I’ve felt the longing in my heart for as long as I remember. From sneaking around with my toy pistols into the woods as a boy to hanging on the back of a truck zooming into the Thailand back-country. In these moments I’ve never felt more alive, I’ve never seen so clearly my Lord and Saviour. It’s not just the beautiful scenery or the adrenaline, but more so the way my heart is filled when I spend my time wisely. When I spend my time abandoning this world and all it’s un-fulfilling and un-answered promises I see more of what we were actually meant for. We long for purpose, and for as long as I live I see that purpose being very simple yet unique. That purpose is to share the Love that God so vividly showed us by allowing his one and only Son to hang from that cross. Here’s what’s unique about that. We were all created differently which means we all are called to carry out that same promise in a unique way that God himself has called just you to do. I highly advise going on an adventure to find that call. Listen to your heart and if you have the guts to follow it, like I’ve said previously, hold on for a wild ride..
