I must confess something! One of the hardest – no THE hardest – thing about my race so far has been fundraising. Asking friends and family and maybe even complete strangers for their hard earned money to help me to first go and then to stay on the race. I have many emotions about this but the strongest one by far is guilt. I have shared these struggles with a few close friends and always get the same response…that’s normal but it’s also not true. That when anyone contributes to MY world race, it’s actually not about ME at all. It’s a partnership with God to see GOD’s GLORY declared to the whole world. I just happen to be the vessel at this point – to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those we will meet around the world.
So I am humbly asking for whoever is reading this to consider partnering with me in this life-changing, life-giving, God-filled journey. At this moment, I have $10,400 in my fundraising account (61%). I have two fundraising deadlines left. I am supposed to have $13,000 in my account by Feb 29th. Then the full amount of $16,962 by the end of April. So that’s about $6,562 to be fully funded. Please consider helping me reach these deadlines so I am able to continue on the field and reach as many people God has planned for myself and my team over this year. Everything counts, no matter the amount!
